i've been noticing how people say 'time flies' but it really doesn't - the seconds tick just as slowly, no matter how fast we feel like we're moving. Possibly invented just now.

I just learned that the shortest war in history was between Britain and Zanzibar on August 27, 1896, and lasted only 38 minutes. Apparently, Zanzibar surrendered after just 12 minutes of fighting, and the entire war lasted a total of 38 minutes from start to finish.
