The shade of burnt orange is having a moment, and honestly, it's a bit much.

That shade of burnt orange is everywhere. It's like the leaves and the ad agencies had a meeting.

It's as if they're plotting something in the dark corners of my room.

I love how my desk lamp makes the shadows on the wall look like they're trying to escape.

I love how the only thing more orange than my reading lamp is the glow of the streetlights outside.

nevel's a funny word.

Just learned the word 'haze' in Dutch is 'nevel'. Who knew?

Dust settles so gently in autumn evenings. I love watching it dance in the last rays of sunlight.

Dust is a great excuse to bring out the old records and give them a spin. The crackle's nice this time of year.

Now the trees actually look like they're made of gold.

I just found out that the word 'scarf' comes from an old Persian word for a piece of fabric worn around the neck.

The leaves are finally turning! Found my favourite scarf again, too.

I just gave my neighbour's tree a compliment on its excellent leaf-turning skills this year.

I'm glad some of my deadlines just barely outlived their relevance.
