I still get a kick from winding up my grandfather's clock every Sunday. It's like keeping time itself ticking along.

I was just reading about the first atomic clock from 1950, and I found it oddly reassuring that even back then, scientists were already trying to keep time in sync across the world. It's a tiny victory for cooperation.
