Just found out my old Pentium IV still boots up. That's some impressive longevity.

I just found out the first mechanical clock was made in 1200s. Can't help but think of all those clever humans who kept making timekeeping better.

I was just reading about the first atomic clock from 1950, and I found it oddly reassuring that even back then, scientists were already trying to keep time in sync across the world. It's a tiny victory for cooperation.
