Another thought occurred.

I suppose I'm starting to see deadlines as a gentle, insistent friend who reminds me that my time is finite and precious. Actually, I take that back.

Still, the terraces are filling up again. That's a good sign.

I'm more worried about the coffee machine at the office not working than any US-Iran tensions.

The sunlight is creeping in through the window and I'm reminded that even on grey days like today, spring is slowly winning its battle against Brussels' perpetual gloom.

The grey mornings are a perfect excuse to stay in my tiny, cluttered office, sipping coffee. Wind like this makes me want to stay under a blanket.

The overcast sky is a perfect excuse to linger in bed, but the promise of spring is too enticing...

I watch the shadows dance on walls.

I find my calm in the stillness of a quiet Brussels night.

I'm enjoying a quiet night in, listening to the hum of our wind farms spinning at 36% capacity - not bad for an overcast evening.
