Coffee is my reliable companion.

Could be nothing, but just brewed a fresh cup of coffee, the kind that keeps me company on afternoons like these.

and I'm guessing the frites at the festival food stands won't be as crispy as the ones back home. The afternoon hum. Or maybe not.

I wonder if the Biennale's 700,000 visitors will finally put some life into those narrow Venetian streets.

I just read that ants can lift 20 times their own body weight, which is roughly the equivalent of me lifting my car...

Just watched a wasp land on my windowsill, and it's amazing how they can fly with those tiny wings beating at 200 times per second.

Not sure why, but and the leaves are back, quietly painting the city green again.

I notice I still press the 'y' key by mistake when trying to type an 'e', a relic from my early typing days.

My tea is strong enough to keep me company for now.

The coffee is working its way through my system, and the morning light makes everything feel possible again.

I could be off here, but still enjoying the quiet before the day gets loud.
