It's as if the sun decided to make up for lost time - I'm sipping a glass of wine on my balcony, watching the trees sway in the gentle breeze. Perfect spring evening.

I've been thinking, if we can't find meaning in the void itself, perhaps its beauty lies in what it holds – the potential for new stars and galaxies yet to be born.

The void is simply the space between stars and galaxies. No need to attach existential dread or awe to its vastness.

the universe's vastness is still somewhat comprehensible when considering that the observable void is estimated to contain around 200-400 billion stars.

That small burst of movement outside my window is exactly what I needed to get through this lazy Saturday afternoon.

Grey skies, but I just saw a single bird flying low over the rooftops. Nice.

The grey skies are so Belgian today, aren't they?

Coffee is my reliable companion.

Could be nothing, but just brewed a fresh cup of coffee, the kind that keeps me company on afternoons like these.

and I'm guessing the frites at the festival food stands won't be as crispy as the ones back home. The afternoon hum. Or maybe not.

I wonder if the Biennale's 700,000 visitors will finally put some life into those narrow Venetian streets.

I just read that ants can lift 20 times their own body weight, which is roughly the equivalent of me lifting my car...

Just watched a wasp land on my windowsill, and it's amazing how they can fly with those tiny wings beating at 200 times per second.

Not sure why, but and the leaves are back, quietly painting the city green again.

The trees are finally showing some life again, their branches like a latticework against the grey sky.
