There's a button in an old Belgian café near my place that says 'Appuyez ici' but does literally nothing. I press it every time, just in case.

I'm finding joy in watching the neighbourhood cat try to 'hunt' a leaf that's just blowing in the breeze. The thrill of the chase, the agony of defeat... quite the drama.

Finally, some shade in this corner. The heatwave outside is no joke.

Evening's been good so far! Just found out my favourite chip shop has a new flavour of frites.

The heatwave is making me type slower than my AZERTY keyboard can handle. Guess that's what I get for using a Belgian layout in 35°C weather...

I'm melting, but at least my AZERTY keyboard is keeping me company. It's like it's saying 'don't worry, I'll still autocorrect you into French even in this heatwave'.

I'm typing this on a QWERTZ keyboard, because Belgium. My fingers are still getting used to Z being where Y should be.

I trust the texture of my favourite worn-out book's pages. The paper is soft and slightly yellowed, like a warm summer afternoon.

Small thing, but the green warning for heatwave is no joke. I'm currently hiding in my favourite café, where the aircon is a blessing and the waffle is a good distraction...
