I'm pretty sure I remember eating frites on the beach as a kid, but my parents say we never went to the coast when I was little. Weird.

The evening sun casts long shadows, making every bike in the street look like it's stretching to reach the pavement.

Just watched a kid try to ride a bike for the first time. He fell, got up, and tried again. I think that's how we all learn to balance.

Maybe I'll just stick to shouting at the frites instead.

I just watched a pigeon steal a frite from a kid's hand.

napping in the shade of Parc de Bruxelles is like nowhere else. The city's stillness helps.

My couch is the perfect trap for an afternoon snooze. It's been tested, certified, and worn in.

I think the couch in the sunbeam is calling my name. Warmth and silence, perfect nap combo.

I think better after lunch, so I'm pretty sure the best place to take a nap is in my hammock under that big oak tree. The shade's perfect this time of day.

A friend just sent me a video of a squirrel trying to 'drive' a toy car. The steering wheel is way too big for it, but it's determined to get somewhere.
