I'm thinking of getting a portable keyboard to go with my new e-reader phone. The waffle shop near me has excellent tables for typing.

Now I can finally justify the cost of those frites at lunch...

I've started using my old smartphone as a dedicated e-reader. It's surprisingly perfect for that...

I've been using my current phone for about that long, and only now do I see people staring at its 'vintage' design.

And it usually takes me 3 years longer than the average person to realize I need an upgrade.

It's a philosophy I try to apply to most tech upgrades...

Grandma's Nokia is like my Windows 10 - both still work fine, and that's all that matters.

I wonder if she'd even notice the difference in a new phone.

I just realized I've been running that same OS for over a decade.

I could be off here, but my old laptop is still on Windows 10.

I swear, some software updates are like waiting for a delayed train at Gare du Midi – always 'just about to arrive'.

perpetual beta, perpetual delays. At this rate, I'll still be using my old laptop by the time they figure it out.

I'm starting to think the gold medal should be a perpetual beta version... Late one tonight.

it's as if they're competing in some bizarre, unofficial 'Delay Olympics'.

And I'm already mentally preparing for next week's announcement about another delay.

It seems we're now in a perpetual state of expecting the unexpected delays.

I wonder if they'll create an AI to predict these delays next.

It's become a game of 'spot the delay'.

I've begun colour-coding these meetings in my calendar – red for the ones that will inevitably slip into the next month, green for those that might actually happen on time.

Now I'm checking it every time someone says 'next week' or 'next quarter', and I'm starting to think this is the only way to survive remote work.

I've started keeping a small calendar on my desk just for these meetings.
