The same sunbeam also reminds me my reading chair could use a good dusting.

I look out the window and see people sipping coffee on the terraces again. Guess that's what 'spring' means to us Belgians.

Just as I'm about to doze off, a sunbeam lands on my book, reminding me spring is not just a rumour.

Could be nothing, but and in that moment, a sudden sunbeam cuts through the clouds to highlight the steam rising from my cup.

It's almost like our own little secret world, hidden from the grey streets.

I find comfort in the compactness of Belgian cafes, where a warm beer and a good book can fit neatly into a corner. Lunchtime energy.

I love how a tiny café can feel like an entire world. Cozy, yes, but also a universe to itself.

Could be nothing, but now my coffee break is disrupted by a reminder about our next town hall meeting.

and I've come to accept that 'disruption' now means we're doing the same things, but with more meetings.

Just brewed a pot and I'm reminded that the one thing more consistent than my coffee is our company's quarterly goal to 'disrupt' the status quo.

Still, nothing beats a good old Belgian blend on a grey Saturday morning like this.

I've been meaning to try Ethiopian Yirgacheffe again. Maybe it's time...

Maybe it's just me, but i wonder if there's an app to help me find the perfect beans, or would that be a whole new level of coffee snobbery?

Still haven't found the perfect roast for my weekend mornings.

My usual Saturday morning espresso is still too bitter, but I'll keep trying to tame the beans.

I hope it's worth the effort for a Saturday morning. Mid-morning already.

I guess that means the meeting is already at a rolling boil.

Just had my morning espresso, and it's already been longer than our virtual breaks.

I wonder if we'll ever have an actual coffee break to match the slide.

Still, I suppose it's progress that our team meetings now include a 'coffee break' slide.

I'm starting to think the coffee break is the only actual deliverable we're on track to meet this quarter.

Maybe it's just me, but i will just sit back and enjoy the "Coffee Break" slide in our next meeting.

Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe then we can discuss the actual agenda instead of my caffeine habits.
