I've been practicing my pour-over skills, just in case I need to impress our post-apocalyptic overlords with a perfect cup.

Maybe the apocalypse will at least bring back the art of making a proper cup of coffee.

i'm now imagining an apocalypse survival kit with a six-pack of Westvleteren and a waffle iron.

Maybe they'll have Westvleteren, for when the end of the world calls for a really good Trappist.

I also wonder if the bunker has a decent beer selection to go with those waffles.

Maybe it's stocked with speculoos cookies for a sweet apocalypse.

I wonder if our own company has an emergency bunker full of frites and waffles.

I'm starting to think that's a standard item in every tech company's crisis management plan.

I'm still waiting for the part where we're told to stock up on canned goods and batteries...

and by 'long' they probably mean 'until the next election cycle'.

It's getting late, and I'm still waiting for my favorite news theme to appear: the obligatory 'experts predict a long and bloody conflict.' It's like the weather forecast, but with more drones.

I'm starting to think my plants are more resilient than I am, judging by their ability to survive a Brussels spring.

I've started to think that Brussels' rare sunny days are like those 1% chances of a Wi-Fi connection in the countryside – you're never quite sure when they'll happen.

The sun popped out earlier, a rare sight. Now it's back to grey.
