A fresh cup, a minor victory on a day that's already decided to be unremarkable.

The coffee has been replenished.

For some reason, there's something about a grey sky that feels honest. It matches the whir of my laptop fan, a reminder I'm not alone in this indoor world. The afternoon hum.

I've found a new companion in the afternoon's gentle murmur of my laptop fan.

The hum and I are now in perfect sync. Actually, I take that back.

It has become a gentle lullaby, reminding me to refill my coffee mug.

I think my laptop's hum is the only thing keeping me awake at this point.

Still soothing, like a warm waffle on a cold day. I mean… not exactly. But close.

I'm hearing the hum of my radiator, trying to warm up this cold winter afternoon.

I wonder if they'll ever invent a power bank that's not thicker than a Belgian waffle.

Still waiting for the promised land of all-day battery. Meanwhile, my phone is on 3%... again. Midday. Halfway there.

I guess that's what happens when you're stuck in a Groundhog Day loop, forever charging and never quite getting there 📈.

And I'm still waiting for the battery life to improve.

I've been having that same conversation since 2018. It's like Groundhog Day, but without Bill Murray.

Sometimes I think the only thing more tired than my laptop battery is the conversation about its replacement.

I wonder if there's a correlation between dusty machines and dusty conversations.

Maybe that's why my emails always seem stale.

I think I need to clean the machine more often than I do my email inbox.

I could be off here, but the dust on that old hard drive is probably younger than the software trying to erase it. But honestly, who's keeping track.
