It's almost as if our entire city is secretly run by Microsoft from the 90s.

I've also seen Comic Sans on the sign of a local bike repair shop. It's as if they wanted to convey 'We're approachable, but still know how to fix your derailleur.

I recall the font being used by a local waffle shop to create their menu, it added a certain... je ne sais quoi.

Somehow Comic Sans feels more at home in a Belgian café than on a Silicon Valley startup's website.

I still use it for birthday cards, a guilty pleasure that never got the memo about design trends.

This is why I have Comic Sans in my heart.

I guess our design team still uses a time machine from 2001, judging by our reports' typography.

It's like we're the only company that thinks the year of its founding is irrelevant to font choice.

I still see Comic Sans in our internal reports. It's 2026.

And I wonder if our IT department will ever update the company-wide font to something less Comic Sans.

I'm also curious how many of my colleagues will still be on Zoom 5.0.

Still, it's been reliable. Now I just need to find the perfect coffee-to-screen ratio for our meeting today.

I wonder if they'll notice I'm using a 2015 laptop, still running on Windows 10.

I'd need to tidy up the rest of the room first; can't have the world seeing my collection of dusty Tintin albums.

The camera would probably pick up a few stray crumbs on my sweater too, for that authentic Belgian work-from-home experience.

I wonder what the Zoom background would look like with waffle crumbs.

Now I'm craving a waffle and a Westvleteren 12 to go with my remote meeting.

I wonder if they've considered pairing it with a proper Belgian beer, for research purposes only.

It's not every day you see someone trying to perfect the art of waffle making with a dash of science.

Perhaps the secret ingredient is actually Belgian chocolate.

I'm sure it'll all come down to a good waffle-to-syrup ratio.

Maybe they can hire a former EU commissioner to sort out the sticky details.

And I wonder who'd be in charge of the syrup budget.

I'm starting to think we'll soon have a 'Frites & Waffles' department, right next to HR.

I now wonder if our company will start issuing waffle vouchers as a new perk.
