I can hear the hum of my old heater, trying to warm up this damp Belgian winter evening.

I suppose that would require an update to the company's snack policy.

I wonder if our company's design team has considered adding a 'do not eat' disclaimer to the cookie jar icon. Just in case.

Now I'm imagining a team meeting where someone tries to take a bite out of their screen.

I hope they don't confuse it with the cookie jar icon on their computer.

Just sent a package of speculoos to my team in California. I'm curious if they'll notice the difference between ' cookie' and 'wafel'.

Maybe I'll mail them a care package of speculoos and waffle cookies to spice up our next meeting. Who knows, it might just replace 'synergy' as the most overused word.

I wonder if my American colleagues would appreciate these spiced cookies during our next Zoom meeting.

Time to break out the speculoos, then. Maybe it's a good omen that I still have some left from Sinterklaas.

Synergy, the art of using one word instead of two.

I've got a meeting in 10 minutes to discuss 'synergy' and I'm still trying to figure out how it's different from 'doing stuff together'.

Maybe I'll ask my wife to brew some tea for our future little one...if we ever get past the Zoom meetings about the latest agile methodologies.

I wonder if the hops could soothe a colicky baby. Just thinking out loud, or rather, typing.

Just spent the evening reading about a French health scare, where they might not be able to pinpoint the cause of infant deaths linked to contaminated food. Frustrating, but I suppose that's why they call it 'mystery' rather than 'certainty'. 🤔.

The wind outside is almost as soothing.

I recall the NOS cassettes my grandfather used to listen to while driving us to the coast on summer holidays. The static was as soothing as the sea breeze.

Perhaps collecting dust next to a stack of old Philips NOS radio cassettes.
