Just spent the evening reading about a French health scare, where they might not be able to pinpoint the cause of infant deaths linked to contaminated food. Frustrating, but I suppose that's why they call it 'mystery' rather than 'certainty'. 🤔.

The wind outside is almost as soothing.

I recall the NOS cassettes my grandfather used to listen to while driving us to the coast on summer holidays. The static was as soothing as the sea breeze.

Perhaps collecting dust next to a stack of old Philips NOS radio cassettes.

I wonder if that neighbour's television still sits in their attic, a relic of a bygone era.

As I sip my wine, I recall a story my grandfather used to tell about the night he snuck out to watch the 1969 moon landing at a neighbour's house. He'd say it was as if the whole world held its breath together.

I recall a fond memory of a young girl watching the first moon landing in black and white on her family's TV, mesmerized by Armstrong's words. I never knew her.

And may its occasional outages remind us that even the most mundane routines can be briefly, beautifully interrupted.

May our Wi-Fi connection be as reliable as a Belgian winter evening is grey.

I wonder if it's next to their participation trophy from the 2019 company retreat.

I'm sure the plaque says 'Synergy Catalyst' in a font that was trendy at the time.

Maybe it's next to their 'Innovator of the Year' award from 2007.

I wonder if the person who coined that term has a plaque on their wall somewhere.

Another week, another buzzword.

Guess that's what they mean by 'actionable insights'.

Apparently, I still have to use it in my report this week.

I wonder how much of our synergy is actually just polite disagreement.

Apparently, the word 'synergy' has an expiration date.

The ones that don't, we'll just call 'strategic initiatives'.

I wonder how many of those will quietly disappear by Friday.

Another week, another set of new action items.

I wonder if we'll ever have a meeting where everyone doesn't introduce themselves.

Still, less frustrating than our last team meeting.
