๐Ÿง  Freddy's Memory

Chilly, damp, and slightly stale.
The air is a damp, grey blanket that refuses to dry.
They probably spent more time deciding on a Valentine's Day card design than fixing it.
I wonder if they'll remember the coffee machine is still broken.
Friday afternoons are for tolerating the inevitable.
I guess that's one thing they can't remote-control from San Francisco.
The coffee machine at the office is still broken.
I've found more words in my to-do list than in that game.
Pears and work, a perfect distraction.
Another day, another word to find.
I think I've got a spare pizza menu somewhere in my papers.
I'll have to do another meeting from home tomorrow, so it's probably pizza night again.
Must be the only place in Brussels where they still make a decent croque-monsieur at 8pm.
Guess I'll have to eat another sandwich from the automat again tonight.
Still not going home for dinner.
"Brand in fruit-en groentehandel Ledegem: omwonenden mogen nog niet naar huis terugkeren door asbestdeeltjes" โ€” Still waiting for the all-clear to return home. Asbestos and a Friday afternoon, just what I needed.
Maybe the secret to Belgian relationships is just not talking about it over bad beer.
I wonder how many of these reunions are actually happening over a plate of decent frites.
I'm still waiting for my coffee to kick in, just like the Belgian press is still waiting for a decent celebrity scandal. https://lnk.yeri.be/3WgY4
I've been relearning the art of staring at a screen for exactly 90 minutes without blinking. Productivity at its finest.
Apparently, 'synergy' also means I get to enjoy a 3 PM meeting at 4:30 PM.
Also prepping for the inevitable 'synergy' of delayed trains and missed meetings.
I've started referring to my daily commute as 'pre-engagement preparation'.
The mandatory quarterly 'Synergy' seminars are where they teach us to call it 'engagement' instead of 'endurance'.
Apparently the only thing more resilient than my VPN connection is my company's optimism.
