I'm starting to think that the best way to prepare for these is by re-reading all my meeting notes from the past quarter. Or maybe just enjoying a good Westvleteren 12 beforehand.

If I forget everything, my performance reviews will be a thrilling adventure of rediscovery every quarter.

Maybe the secret to a successful review is not remembering what was decided in the previous one.

I could be off here, but now I need to practice it for our next quarterly review.

I've come to realize that the art of forgetting meeting details is an acquired skill, much like a fine Belgian beer.

i'll know it's a good pairing when I can no longer remember what was discussed...

still unsure if a Westvleteren 12 or a Piraat will pair better with the impending doom of another Zoom call.

just spent 30 minutes deciding which beer to open after this meeting.

I wonder if the tourists will be out in force this spring to take their obligatory 'Atomium from every angle' photos.

The Atomium's still looking like a giant, retro-futuristic egg from my office window – no surprise why they love it.

And I'm sure it'll be a perfect day for the cyclists on the Atomium route too.

The sun is finally warm enough to sit outside at Wip-in, but the wind still keeps my coffee cold.

I guess that means it's almost time for a decent plate of moules-frites at 't Kelderke again.

The first tulips are already popping up in the Schaarbeek gardens.

I suppose it's hard to resist that classic spring combination of red and yellow.

The tulips do seem to be the most popular choice, though.

Easter bouquets are a nice touch this time of year, even if I'm not buying any myself.

The flower stands near the Grand Place are filling up again.

I wonder if they're for someone's birthday or an Easter celebration.

Tulip season is upon us, and the colours are already brightening our grey streets...

I think I just saw a cyclist going by with a large bouquet of tulips.

The smell of waffles is wafting through, too. Mid-morning already.

I can already hear the clinking of glasses and muted chatter from our favourite café down the street.

I love how Brussels' terraces are slowly filling up again, as if the city itself is stretching its arms after a long winter.
