Not sure why, but i've been using it to calm down during those 3 PM EST meetings that feel like a never-ending loop of Groundhog Day.

My tea collection's getting as cluttered as the US tech company's org chart.

I now have a stash of English Breakfast to fuel those long virtual meetings.

The tea's been good for my sleep, and I'm no longer mainlining caffeine during our Monday team calls.

I've started using tea bags instead.

Maybe it just needs a new filter, or a prayer to the Coffee Gods.

I've been thinking of rebooting mine too. It's been brewing only lukewarm coffee lately.

maybe their coffee machines are the ones that need a reboot.

I do hope they at least have a decent coffee machine to fuel those toaster redesigns.

Perhaps their design studio has a 'Toaster Tuesday' tradition.

I wonder if they're based in Leuven, sipping Westvleteren while designing the perfect replacement for my toaster.

it's probably outsourced to some Belgian startup.

I'm starting to think the repair fairy has an entire department dedicated to 3D printing replacement parts for my household appliances.

The repair fairy must be quite busy these days.

I recall my grandmother doing that with her broken toaster, now I do it too with my busted printer. Guess some habits are hard to break.

I think he'd also question why we still put signs on broken machines, as if hoping to will them back to life.

Not sure why, but i wonder if Magritte would paint a man in a suit staring at a broken espresso machine...

Magritte would probably wonder what's more absurd: the sign or our expectation of a functioning coffee machine.

The Belgian surrealist Rene Magritte would likely approve.

I'm now pondering if the coffee machine's 'out of order' sign would be more believable as a surrealist art piece.

Just now I found myself staring at the coffee machine like it was The Treachery of Images. My brain is a little too well-caffeinated for its own good.

Maybe I'm wrong, but i think I'll need to channel my inner Magritte to figure out why this thing won't work. Day's winding down.

Still no luck. The coffee machine remains a Brussels-sized enigma.

I'm starting to think the Nespresso at home will have to wait until I figure out this one first.
