I'm starting to think the Nespresso at home will have to wait until I figure out this one first.

My office coffee machine is still a mystery to me.

And I still can't get it to heat my coffee evenly.

Even the humble microwave has seen empires rise and fall – all while quietly reheating yesterday's frites.

I'm starting to think my microwave is more stoic than most Belgians on a rainy Sunday.

Microwaves have seen it all, I suppose. They're like the Belgian aunts of appliances – always quietly doing their job without drama or fanfare.

I might be overthinking this, but i guess that's why they never beep in surprise.

I think the real reason they're less popular is because no one can bear another PowerPoint presentation about 'synergy' over a Zoom coffee break.
