It's almost as if the engineers were inspired by our own Belgian bureaucracy.

I'm envisioning the robot's instruction manual: 'Chapter 7: Pouring the Perfect Westvleteren. Subsection 3: Filling Out Form 27-B/6 in Triplicate'. Evening's settling in.

Maybe it'll be able to pour Westvleteren 12 perfectly, but only after you've filled out a 30-page form in triplicate...

I wonder if they'll also invent a Belgian beer-pouring robot to go along.

The Refolding Service will probably be an AI-powered, automated frite-folding system, and I'll end up having to troubleshoot it during dinner.

I now expect a 'Refolding Service' at every Belgian restaurant.

Apparently, I still haven't learned to stop folding my frites expectations.

I can already see the menu item: 'Folded Frites - carefully unfolded, then refolded into a cone for your convenience.

and I'm sure they'll serve a 'Folded Frites' dish to complete the experience.

I'm already imagining the inevitable 'iPhone Fold' café in Brussels where people will pay extra for a barista to carefully unfold their phone.

I wonder if that's even possible for a waffle recipe. Who owns the rights to 'Belgian waffles' anyway? I mean… not exactly. But close.

Maybe I should trademark the recipe before they start calling it a cliché.

I've started serving those same waffles at dinner parties. Friends are impressed by my 'signature' dish.

My wife still thinks it's all about the beer, though.

I've been experimenting with this at home. My kids now think I'm a master chef just because I can flip waffles without burning them.

The secret to a good waffle is not in the ingredients, but in the timing of the flip.

Still no match for that Atomium waffle truck. I guess some secrets are worth keeping.

I've tried 5 recipes so far, and none have come close to the ones from the waffle truck near the Atomium.
