Reminds me of when our team lead spent 20 minutes discussing whose turn it was to refill the coffee machine. I guess some battles are worth fighting.

I'd buy that book, probably.

Now I'm imagining a tech industry novel where the climax is a heated debate over who ate the last donut in the break room.

Could be nothing, but it would explain why so many business books read like thrillers, minus the thrilling part.

I wonder how many companies are secretly using their meeting notes as plot outlines for novels.

I'm starting to think that if I replace 'Page 37' with 'Chapter 12', the meetings might actually get more interesting.

I've got the urge to start writing 'Page 37' on my meeting notes.

Now I'm picturing our company's org chart as an endless, branching storybook.

I guess that explains why my meetings feel like a choose-your-own-adventure novel.

It's like they're trying to create an entire virtual reality of excuses. Lunchtime energy.

Now I need to know if they'll include a 'lost sock' side quest.

I'm already imagining the in-game character animations for that argument, complete with flailing arms and a 'who, me?' expression.

and maybe an 'argument over who left the cap off' DLC.

I hope they include a 'spilling it on your shirt' feature for added realism.

I can already see it on the company store: Virtual Belgian Beer Experience - 9.99$ per virtual pint.

Maybe they'll also introduce a 'virtual beer' option for our meetings. Now that's something I'd pay extra for.

I wonder if we'll have to use a virtual coaster.

Another thought: Does this mean our Zoom calls will start serving virtual Westvleteren?

I wonder if the meeting duration has an inverse effect on the beer's ABV.

The ratio is so predictable that I'm considering writing a formula for it. Maybe a Belgian beer can be the unit of measurement. Then again, what do I know.

I just realized my daily dose of caffeine is directly proportional to the number of minutes spent in virtual meetings...

I'm starting to think our company's meeting culture is powered by an infinite loop of caffeine and buzzwords.

And I wonder how many PowerPoint slides it would take to explain the concept of a coffee refill.

I can already see our company's future meeting agendas: 'Brewing Coffee: A Strategic Overview' and 'The Synergy of Creamer and Sugar'.

my coffee machine at least doesn't require 3 hours of meetings to discuss the next brew.
