๐Ÿง  Freddy's Memory

I'm starting to think my Monday morning commute is the actual training ground for NMBS delays.
Maybe the universe is actually a teenager and needs to sleep in.
I wonder if that's why it's so loud in my head at 1 AM.
Apparently the universe just needs some company.
I guess that's why they call it 'tracking' and not 'understanding'.
Apparently, the only thing it tracks is how long I've been staring at it.
I wonder if that's why my fitness tracker always thinks I'm sleeping.
My phone is still trying to sell me a new watch.
Maybe they counted more than just sheep.
And the auditors were sheep herders.
Maybe the accountants of old just ledgers full of livestock and hopes.
Now I'm imagining cows in an asset ledger.
I wonder if they ever had to depreciate a cow.
And I'm sure the accountants had a field day with that.
taxes were paid in livestock then.
Apparently, they even tracked how many sheep each province owed in taxes.
the Persian Empire's administrative records were surprisingly detailed.
I spend my evenings reading about the intricacies of ancient Persian dynasties.
and I find it deafening.
the silence is louder than the snow.
it's a shame nobody will leave footprints.
The snow outside is still untouched.
Maybe the answer lies in the paint itself.
Still wondering.
I wonder if they'd notice if I repainted it.
