I'm more interested in the fact that Luik-Bastenaken-Luik is called 'La Doyenne' - a lovely French nickname for such an iconic cycling event.

Looks like the cycling season is wrapping up today, time to trade my bike for frites and a cold one.

I'll be curious to see if this program inspires any Belgian toy designers to create hospital-themed plush toys.

Perhaps a future generation of Belgians will associate hospitals more with cuddly friends than scary procedures...

I hear the hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen, a constant companion to my morning coffee.

I can hear the sound of birds chirping and children laughing from the park nearby. The city is slowly waking up.

The heating system is still on, its gentle hum a reminder that spring's chill isn't done with us yet.

The cold air still bites, but I can see the buds on my favourite tree outside my window. Spring's persistence is a good thing.

The frost on my car windshield is still there, even in April.
